Our Footprint slippers are rather spacious, offering feet enough room to spread out without feeling constricted.
The opening is wide enough to easily slip into the slipper without having to use your hands.
Due to the open heel area, this model is primarily held on the foot by the instep. Depending on the shape of your foot, this may mean that you slip out of the back of the slippers a little when walking. Sizing recommendation: if you are between two sizes, choose the smaller size.
Felt is largely self-cleaning and not very susceptible to dirt. Eventually, of course, it's time for a cleaning. Here's how:
- Preparation: First, tap out the slippers and brush off the dirt, e.g., with our felt brush.
- Hand wash: We recommend hand washing, but WoolFits with leather soles can also be machine washed.
- Washing machine: Use the gentle cycle at a maximum of 30°C. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents. Instead, use a mild wool detergent.
- Drying: After washing, stuff the damp shoes with newspaper and let them dry at warm room temperature.

The leather sole is very durable and can be used outdoors (except in wet conditions). However, it will quickly darken and discolour, so we recommend using the shoes indoors if possible. Sharp stones can also damage the sole. The average lifespan of our leather soles is 2-4 years.

The Footprint is one of our first slipper models and embodies everything we strive for at WoolFit.
We have moved away from stiff, uncomfortable footbeds and the problems of cold or sweaty feet.
Instead, our goal was to create a slipper that embodies softness, comfort, warmth, and flexibility – true enjoyment for your feet. This is how the WoolFit Footprint was created, the first barefoot slipper on the German market.
What makes the Footprint special is not only that it is hand-felted in one piece, but also the thick felt layer integrated into the slipper, which allows your foot to leave its own individual footprint after a short period of wear. Hence the name Footprint.
This slipper adapts to your foot, instead of you having to adapt.
Who is the Footprint suitable for?
The Footprint is perfect for those who do not prefer rigid footbeds and instead long for maximum softness and comfort.
It is also the perfect choice for barefoot walking enthusiasts. Its extremely flexible leather sole allows for a natural rolling motion of the foot, while its foot-friendly shape grants additional toe freedom. Another advantage of the felt is that it yields slightly, so your feet never feel constricted.
Thanks to their exceptionally soft and seamless felt craftsmanship, these slippers are also particularly comfortable for people with sensitive feet. We have already received numerous positive feedbacks from people suffering from rheumatism or hallux valgus, who greatly appreciate the comfort of the Footprint.
The Footprint is also a great slipper all year round and is still excellent for cold days, as the thick felt layer provides optimal insulation against cold floors.
How is the footprint made?
The Footprints are produced using traditional manufacturing techniques. This means they are hand-felted directly around the last using the wet felting method. This requires a lot of strength and skill. An interesting fact for those who didn't know yet: Only wool, water, and soap are needed for felting.
Once the felt sock around the last is finished and dry, it's time for further processing. Here, the soles are cut out, glued to the shoe, and additionally sewn. Of course, our logo must not be missing to make the slippers WoolFits.
Natural & high-quality materials
For the WoolFit Footprint, we rely on select raw materials: 100% natural virgin wool, genuine leather, and natural rubber.
The extra-soft merino wool for our slippers, which are handcrafted in Nepal, comes from New Zealand and is mulesing-free. Merino wool feels pleasantly soft against the skin and ensures a high level of comfort.

Our Manufactory
The WoolFit Footprint is produced in a small Nepalese factory. The production is a social project that offers women from disadvantaged social strata the opportunity to support themselves independently of their husbands and to enable their children to receive an education.

Ich habe meine schönen roten Hausschuhe nun seit ein paar Tagen. Sie sind schon warm und weich am Fuß und tragen sich herrlich ganz ohne Socken. Auf eure Schuhe bin ich durch eine Freundin aufmerksam geworden, die ihre Schuhe bereits ein Jahr trägt und viel trägt und sehr zufrieden ist. Meine Entscheidung mich an eure Größenangaben zu halten war goldrichtig.. Ich habe die kleinere Größe gewählt, da sich mein Fußgröße zwischen zwei Schuhgrößen liegt. Die Idee mit der Ledersohle finde ich gut, so können sie Schuhe auch mal nach draußen gehen. Mal sehen, wie glatt sie, die Sohlen, nach ordentlichem Gebrauch werden.
Da ich seit vielen Jahren auch Gebrauchsgegenstände filze, weiß ich, was in einem Paar Schuhe an Arbeit steckt.. Meine Schuhe waren eher dünn und leicht, mit einer flüssig Latexsohle, gut zum verreisen, unbeschwert für kleinere Kinderfüße

Die schönsten Pantoffeln, die ich je hatte!
Habe noch keine Erfahrung. Qualität ist super, Farbe ist sehr schön. Vor allem warm.
Super bequem, natürlich auch beim chillen. Einfach perfekt für „immer am Fuß“. Die Verarbeitungsqualität ist hervorragend.
Ich habe die Hausschuhe zuerst eine Nummer zu groß bestellt, da sie aber mein 14 jähriger Sohn so toll fand hat halt er sie einfach behalten :)) und ich hab mir einfach nochmal welche bestellt.
Sie sin kuschlig , weich und warm ohne das man Schwitzefüße bekommt.
Das werden definitiv nich die letzten gewesen sein die wir bestellt habe.

herrlich warm, angenehm weich und trotzdem barfuß-gefühl. für mich perfekt. hätte sie nur eine nummer kleiner nehmen müssen, geht aber als hausschuh auch schluppig :)
Ich liebe sie jetzt schon ! Warm und gemütlich! Liebevoll verarbeitet . Sie fallen leider etwas groß aus ( Größe 42 , trage ich eigentlich immer) , aber so hab ich vorne Bewegungsfreiheit für den Ballen .

Meine Füße sind super empfindlich, meine Zehen schmerzen in jedem Schuh, in jeder Socke, aber nicht in diesen tollen Hausschuhen! Ich trage sie auch im Winter ohne Socken und habe immer ein ausgeglichenes Fußklima 💯 jederzeit wieder 🤗

Einfach wunderbar warm, bequem, man merkt sie fast gar nicht und will sie nicht mehr ausziehen... Absolute Kaufempfehlung.

Habe meine Hausschuhe heute erhalten, angezogen und gleich wohl gefühlt. Und die Füße waren sofort warm. Nichts kneift und drückt, ein herrliches Gefühl. Dafür gebe ich gern ein bisschen mehr Geld aus.

Ich bin absolut begeistert von diesen Wollhausschuhen! Sie sind nicht nur unglaublich warm und gemütlich, sondern sehen auch richtig stylisch aus. Das natürliche Material sorgt für ein angenehm weiches Tragegefühl und hält die Füße stets wohlig temperiert, ohne dass sie schwitzen. Perfekt für mich!
Die Schuhe sind ultrabequem, auch für meine sehr breiten Problemfüsse mit Hallux valgus. Sie sind angenehm warm, aber nicht schwitzig. Durch die gepolsterte Sohle kann ich auch auf Einlagen verzichten.

Das dritte Paar Woolies war diesmal für meine Frau. Sie ist genau so glücklich wie ich. Tolle Hausschuhe. Die Fersenkappe ist nun deutlich fester und mit Leder versteift. Dies ist bei meinen nicht so ausgeführt. Da wird der Fersenrand mit der Zeit deutlich dünner.
Bei der Bestellung war ich schon ein wenig skeptisch. So viel Geld für ein paar Hausschuhe. Aber sie sind jeden Cent wert!!!
Leider hatte ich die Schuhe etwas zu groß bestellt. Der Umtausch ging mega schnell und einfach. Die neuen passen wie angegossen. Super bequem dank der breiten Zehenbox. Nach mehr als 10 Jahren habe ich endlich wieder warme Füße, angenehm warme Füße ohne Schwitzen. Man möchte die Schuhe gar nicht wieder ausziehen.
Meine Frau habe ich mit meiner Begeisterung angesteckt. Sie hat auch bestellt und ist begeistert.
Ich kann die Schuhe nur empfehlen und es werden nicht die letzten sein.
